She holds a Doctorate in Behavioral Health from Arizona State University and a Master of Public Health from Loma Linda University. As a Certified Health Education Specialist and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Dr. Lawrence is uniquely skilled at optimizing organizational processes, ensuring that wellness programs are not only clinically effective but operationally sustainable.
Her work is deeply rooted in the belief that health is a foundational pillar of community resilience. Through Healthy Haven Nutrition, she offers specialized consultancy for businesses looking to transform their corporate wellness culture and organizations seeking to elevate their community impact. Central to her approach is a commitment to honoring heritage, ensuring that nutrition interventions are culturally respectful and inclusive of the diverse backgrounds of the populations she serves, particularly within the Caribbean and Diaspora communities.
The heart of Dr. Lawrence’s mission is inspired by her lived experience as a former foster parent. She intimately understands the complex challenges caregivers face when nourishing children who have experienced trauma. Dr. Lawrence is dedicated to equipping foster families and child welfare organizations with the specialized tools needed to overcome food-related behavioral challenges, helping children thrive despite their history of adversity.
Whether she's coaching an individual toward diabetes self-management, training foster parents on trauma-responsive feeding, or advising an organization on health event planning, Dr. Lawrence remains committed to her core vision: Elevating health. Empowering communities. Transforming organizations.
