The "Healthy Haven Nutrition and Health Scholars Award" is established to encourage the next generation of leaders from The Bishops’ High School (BHS) to pursue careers that heal and nourish. This award is specifically designed to support students entering fields such as Nutrition, Dietetics, Health Education, Public Health, and Allied Health.
Guidelines for Scholarship Application (2026)
​Award Overview
Award Amount: $500.00 USD (One-time per recipient).
Purpose: To assist with the cost of books and university fees.
Number of Awards: Two (2) scholarships will be awarded to the two top-performing students on the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Food, Nutrition, and Health examination.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this award, applicants must:
1. Be a graduating student of The Bishops’ High School (Guyana).
2. Have sat the CSEC Food, Nutrition, and Health examination in 2026.
3. Provide an official Acceptance Letter from an accredited college or university for the upcoming academic year.
4. Intend to pursue a degree in one of the following or related fields:

Nutrition & Dietetics

Public Health / Health Education
-
Medicine / Nursing / Allied Health

Health Sciences
Selection Process
Academic Merit: The award will be granted to the two (2) students who achieve the highest scores on the CSEC Food, Nutrition, and Health exam.
Verification: The final selection will be confirmed by the BHS Principal, only upon the release of official CSEC results.
Application Requirements
Interested students must submit a digital application package including:

Uploaded Proof of Student status at Bishops' High School: Signed by the Principal or her designee.

Uploaded Proof of Acceptance: A copy of your college or university acceptance letter.

Short Essay: A 250-word statement on why you are choosing a career in health and how you plan to impact wellness among Guyanese.
Important Dates
Application Deadline: All supporting documents (excluding final CSEC results) must be submitted by June 1, 2026.
Notification of Selection: Award winners will be informed by September 1, 2026, following the release of the CSEC results.
Award Presentation: The award will be presented at the Annual Prize Giving Ceremony in February 2027
